Latviešu A2

The A2 check — practice tests and tasks

Each pack is a complete set of tasks in the format of the Latvian state language proficiency exam at A2: all four parts — listening, reading, writing and speaking, 15 points each. You must sit all four parts, and you need at least 9 of 15 points (60 %) in every single skill, separately. Practise free, in your browser.

ⓘ Our exercises are sample tests in the exam format, created with the help of artificial intelligence and then reviewed by us () — a tool to help you prepare. A result obtained here is not an official exam result. We are an independent private project, we use no official exam materials or tasks, and this site does not replace a teacher or a language course — see the Terms of Use.

What is in the packs

Each pack is a set of tasks in the format of the check: listening with recordings, reading, writing and speaking. You do them online in your browser — no PDFs to print and no account to create.

Closed tasks are marked instantly and show a score. Writing and speaking are assessed by artificial intelligence: you get points, a list of mistakes and a model answer, so you know not only how much but what for.

How to use them

The simplest start is one complete pack, to see which part gives you the most trouble. Then come back to it in the training exercises: picture description, monologue and writing each have their own tasks with AI feedback.

When you plan your time, keep the one marking rule in mind: at least 60 % — 9 points out of 15 — in every skill, separately. Points are not pooled, so preparation is worth putting into your weakest skill rather than the one that already goes well.

Common questions

Are the tasks free?

Yes. Every pack, recording and AI assessment works free of charge and without registration — on AI tasks you only confirm that you are not a robot.

Do the tasks come with answers?

Yes. Closed tasks are marked automatically and show the correct answer, while written and spoken answers get an AI assessment together with a model answer.

Are these the real examination papers?

No — they are original tasks authored against the publicly available description of the task types, at A2. Official material and an official result can only be obtained by sitting the check in the prescribed manner.
