Writing — A2 writing practice
Writing is a separate part of the A2 check: a guided description of a person from pictures and a business card, and a functional text written to a five-point plan — an e-mail, letter, invitation or small ad. Practise both forms here with AI feedback.
Each task is a different text form — a description of a person, an e-mail, a letter, an invitation or a small ad — and each has its own requirements, so the AI assesses your text against the rules of that form. Every task shows its form on a badge.

The writing part lasts 35 minutes and is taken on paper. It contains two texts and one grammar task: a guided description of a person from pictures and a business card; five news-headline lines in which a word given in brackets must be written in the correct inflected form; and a functional text written to a five-point plan.
The functional text may be an e-mail, a letter, an invitation or a small ad, and the plan itself dictates which language functions it has to use: greet, describe, state when, evaluate, sign off. A plan point left unaddressed is content lost, however well the rest is written.
The grammar task deserves separate attention: the points there ride on inflection and endings rather than on vocabulary, and that can be drilled deliberately.
How the AI-assisted practice works
Write your text and submit it. You get feedback on how fully the task was carried out, on genre and structure, on language accuracy and on vocabulary, plus a model answer.
We do not promise exact point bands — the official programme does not publish them. What can be stated: the check is passed only if each skill separately reaches at least 9 points out of 15 (60 %). The practice is free and needs no account.
Frequently asked questions — writing
Which texts does the A2 check ask for?
A guided description of a person from pictures and a business card, and a functional text to a five-point plan — an e-mail, letter, invitation or small ad. A grammar task on writing the correct inflected form comes with them.
How long should the text be?
The programme gives a minimum of 30 words for the description and about 35 words for the functional text. Those are volume guidance, not a disqualifying threshold.
Does a short text fail automatically?
No such rule appears in the official sources, and we do not claim one. But a text that is too short cannot cover every plan point, and coverage is precisely what is assessed.
How is the text assessed here?
You get feedback on task completion, genre, language accuracy and vocabulary, plus a model answer. It is practice feedback, not an official examination result.
Is the practice free?
Yes, free and without registration — you only confirm that you are not a robot.
